USC Africa Student Fund
The USC Africa Student Fund is an endowment to support undergraduate student travel to African countries for study, research, service-based learning and internships.
Since its inception in 2010, the USC Africa Student Fund has supported students representing various USC Schools in their travel to countries such as Senegal, Mozambique and Ethiopia.
Applications are welcome every October for travel during the following year. Students who plan to travel between December 2012 and November 2013 should apply this year. Applicants must have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA to qualify.
The application process includes submission of an online application, two-page personal statement, and faculty recommendation letter.
Within one month of their return to the United States, student award recipients will submit a five-page reflective essay detailing the value of their experience in Africa.
The Fall 2012 application will be available from October 5 through October 28 at midnight. Please click the link below during this time to apply.
